CAIRO – 29 November 2017: Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali will meet with working associations to help North Sinai’s villages on Wednesday.
The meeting will be held specially with the working associations in North Sinai to coordinate efforts to help Al-Rawdah residents, and to discuss the implementation of developmental projects for the villagers.
They will specifically discuss the development of the salt industry and agriculture in the area, stressing that civil labor institutions and economic and social programs will help the people of the village.
Wali confirmed that the ministry's team, which consists of 15 researchers, was assigned to conduct a social research on Al-Rawdah village, the team has worked since last Sunday to check the files of Al-Rawdah residents.
They checked the files of 300 families from the 490 family population of Al-Rawdah village, noting that the average family consists of five members, and the estimated number of males in the village is 1,200, of which 305 died during the terrorist attack, representing about 25 percent of men in the village.
She added that the village is one of seven villages in the center of Bi’r Al-Abd city and its members belong to large family branches.
The team will provide the village with lighting and food which will be available for three months for all families in the village, Wali confirmed.
Moreover, the government plans to allocate lifelong, inheritable pensions to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack that took place on Friday in Arish and left close to 305 dead and 125 injured.
