CAIRO – 22 November 2017: The organizing committee of Africa 2017 Forum will hold a press conference Thursday to announce details of the Business for Africa Forum, scheduled to take place in December, Minister of Investment Sahar Nasr said Wednesday.
In a ministry statement, Nasr said that the forum will begin with the Young Entrepreneurs Day, which will gather entrepreneurs, start-ups, mentors, angel investors and venture capital firms, to share ideas and communicate.
“The forum will undertake partnerships with the most prominent business incubators, entrepreneurship programs and investment funds,” Nasr added.
"Africa has the potential to increase business activity based on the reforms taking place across the continent," Nasr said, highlighting that the forum targets boosting investment in Africa.
Africa 2017 Forum is held under the high patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi from December 7 - 9 in Sharm El-Sheikh. The forum is organized by the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation of Egypt and the COMESA Regional Investment Agency (RIA).
The forum will bring together high-level delegations of leaders in business and politics from across the continent, including heads of state and major CEOs.
Egypt is a member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
