CAIRO - 11 November 2017: Red Sea Governor Maj. General Ahmed Abdullah on Saturday said that a new free zone would be established on an area of 455,000 square meters adjacent to the Port of Safaga.
In a statement, the governor said the new zone would create a new industrial venue for environment-friendly projects. It is mainly built to serve navigation, cruise ships and yachts.
Logistic projects would be in place to serve oil and mining locations in Zafarana, Mars Alam and Safaga, the governor said.
The new projects are expected to create new projects and lure Arab and foreign businesses, he added.
