Electricity min, Oracle VP probe fostering bilateral cooperation

CAIRO - 7 November 2017: Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker discussed Tuesday with Vice President of Oracle Corporation, Vasilis Dimopoulos, means of promoting cooperation between Egypt’s electricity sector and Oracle.

The meeting comes within the framework of the concern given by the electricity and renewable energy sector to information systems as well as to applying the most up-to-date technology.

The minister underlined the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Electricity and Oracle in order to keep up with the world developments in information systems.

Meanwhile, Dimopoulos lauded the achievements made by Egypt’s electricity sector to overcome the challenges that have been facing it over the past period.

Oracle vice president also expressed desire to cooperate with the electricity sector in Egypt.
