CAIRO – 2 November 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday in green as all indices recorded increases at the end of the trading session.
Benchmark EGX30 inched up 0.29 percent to stand at 14,319 points. The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 1.03 percent to end at 789.71 points, while broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.68 percent to close at 1,776.59 points.
Market capitalization lost LE 1.42 billion Thursday to record LE 780.797 billion, compared to LE 782.219 billion in the latest session Wednesday.
Egyptian and Arab investor as well as foreign institutions recorded LE 61.2 million, LE 12.6 million and LE 89.3 million respectively.
Meanwhile, Egyptian and Arab institutions and foreign investors marked net purchases of LE 12.9 million, LE 139.7 million and LE 10.5 million respectively.
Shares of 78 companies recorded increases and 87 companies marked declines, while shares of 24 firms remained unchanged.
