CAIRO – 31 October 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday in positive performance as all indices marked hikes.
Benchmark EGX30, still recording highest rate in history, grew 1.02 percent at the end of the trading session to stand at 14,342 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 increased 0.24 percent to end at 781.98 points. The broader index EGX100 also leveled up 0.73 percent to close at 1,768.24 points.
Market capitalization lost LE 5.1 billion Tuesday to reach LE 784.9 billion compared to LE 779.812 billion in the latest session Monday.
Egyptian institutions and individuals were net sellers at LE 88.6 million and LE 13.2 million respectively, while Arab and foreign institutions and individuals were net buyers at LE 68.8 million, LE 6.3 million, LE 16.4 million and LE 10.3 million respectively.
Shares of 84 companies recorded increases and 83 companies marked declines, while shares of 23 firms remained unchanged.
