PM reviews negotiations with IMF, economic indicators

CAIRO - 28 October 2017: Finance Minister Amr el-Garhy said Prime Minister Sherif Ismail reviewed in a meeting on Saturday the results of negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and talks with Egypt-France Business Council that were held during President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s recent visit to France.

The meetings with the IMF mission were positive and great progress in the negotiations on the performance review was made, Garhy told reporters at the Cabinet, expecting the review and evaluation process to end by November.

A review for the results of the current fiscal year and economic indicators is underway and will last until the end of October, he said, adding the government has great optimism regarding the improvement of economy and the state budget.
