CAIRO – 10 October 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday in red, with
benchmark EGX30 dropped 1.03 percent at the end of the trading session to stand at 13,824 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched down 0.12 percent to end at 799 points. The broader index EGX100 also leveled down 0.20 percent to close at 1,785 points.
Market capitalization fell LE 4.9 billion Tuesday to LE 771.645 billion, compared to LE 775.29 billion in the latest session Monday.
Egyptian, Arab and foreign institutions in addition to foreign individuals have recorded sales of LE 3.3 billion, LE 9.7 billion, LE 2.6 billion and LE 26.8 billion respectively.
Meanwhile, Egyptian and Arab individuals were net buyers at LE 39.3 million and LE 3.1 million respectively.
Shares of 101 companies recorded increases and 68 companies marked declines, while shares of 22 firms remained unchanged.
