CAIRO – 8 October 2017: Non-Arab foreign investors’ net purchases in the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) recorded LE 8.24 billion ($466.12 million) since the beginning of 2017, while the Arabs registered net purchase of LE 390 million, after excluding deals.
In last week’s trading, the non-Arab foreign investors’ net sales amounted to LE 73.2 million on the EGX, while Arab investors recorded net sales of LE 17.3 million, according to the EGX weekly report.
Egyptian investors’ transactions shaped 74.77 percent of total market transactions, while non-Arab foreign transactions stood at 18.12 percent and those of Arabs made 7.02 percent.
The institutions’ transactions accounted for 35.34 percent of the total transactions, while the rest of the transactions were made by individuals, recording 64.66 percent of total transactions. The institutions’ net purchases reached LE 123.59 million.
