BERLIN - 5 October 2017: Egypt will participate in the 2017 Anuga fair for food industries, which will be held from October 7 to 11 in Cologne in Germany.
The Egyptian pavilion will include 88 food production companies that will display the stages of development of food production.
To render the event a success, the Egyptian embassy in Berlin exerted tireless efforts with its trade office, the Egyptian Trade Commission, the Food Export Council and the Agricultural Export Council, MENA reporter said.
Earlier, Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin Badr Abdel Ati pointed out that trade volume between Egypt and Germany increased by 30 percent in the first half of this year, compared with the same period in 2016 to hit 5.66 billion euros.
According to the data of the trade office in Berlin, the Egyptian food exports to Germany increased from 2.67 billion dollars in 2016 to 2.73 billion dollars in 2017.
Anuga "Taste the Future" is considered the world's largest and most important trade fair for food and beverages and a big chance for the emerging markets.
More than 7,200 companies from 108 countries took part in the previous session of the fair that drew the attention of more than 160,000 people from 192 countries.
