Egypt, Finland discuss coop. in industrial waste treatment

CAIRO - 3 October 2017: Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy on Tuesday discussed with Finnish Ambassador to Egypt cooperation in the environmental domains, including treatment of industrial waste and controlling industrial pollution.

The meeting tackled expanding al Nasriyah garbage dump and building a new facility to serve the new industrial cities.

Minister Fahmy stressed the importance of honing skills in this field along with transferring the know-how.

They agreed to hold a meeting between the environment ministers of both countries on the sidelines of Bonn climate change conference, slated for November 2017.
