CAIRO - 17 September 2017: Egypt receives a Chinese offer to grow 100,000 acres of long staple cotton, head of the New Egyptian Countryside Development (NECD) Atter Hanora said on Sunday.
However, NECD has not yet finished the offer’s final studies, Hanora added.
The Chinese corporation will start growing 100,000 acres and may increase the space later, Hanora stated in a telephone call to “Markets and Works” program on “On Live” channel.
The Chinese delegation will arrive in Cairo next month to view the appropriate areas for cultivation and also the suitable lands for cotton planting, he asserted.
