EGX ends in green, turnover loses LE 800M

CAIRO – 17 September 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw positive performance on Sunday.

The benchmark index EGX30 saw a slight increase at 0.01 percent to close at 13,612 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 inched up 0.09 percent to end at 743 points. The broader index EGX100 index also leveled up 0.19 percent to close at 1,655 points.

Market capitalization gained LE 2.6 billion ($152.2 million) to record LE 722.300 billion, up from LE 719.6 billion reached Thursday.

Turnover grew to LE 1.1 billion, down from LE 1.9 billion Thursday.
Local investors were net sellers with a total of LE 33.6 million, while foreign traders and companies were net buyers at LE 17.1 million and LE 13.2 million respectively.

Shares of 79 listed companies recorded hikes, while shares of 75 companies declined and stocks of 32 companies remained unchanged at the end of the trading session.
