MTI to be authorized distributor of Freetel Japan in Egypt

CAIRO – 13 September 2017: MM Group for Industry and Trade (MTI) signed Tuesday the third mobile distribution deal with Plus One Marketing Ltd (Freetel Japan) to be its authorized distributor in the Egyptian market.

The company said in a statement that the sales are planned to start before the end of September 2017 and are expected to add LE 50 million to the company’s 2017’s revenues.

MTI Chairman Khaled Mahmoud expected the Egyptian market to well receive the Japanese company’s products and to quickly gain market share.

Freetel Japan stated that the deal is a strategic step that will be an appropriate entry for the company to the Egyptian market, reaching a wide customer base and delivering an overall premium customer experience.

MTI is a joint stock company incorporated in 1996 and listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). The company is currently a market leader in the local consumer electronics distribution and retail segment.
