Ministers of communications, investment confer on project to automate GAFI services

CAIRO - 11 Sep 2017: Communications Minister Yasser el Qadi met Monday with Investment Minister Sahar Nasr to discuss a project to automate services of the General Authority for Investment (GAFI).

This project contributes to upgrading the efficiency of government services, Qadi said, believing it also gives investment-related services a shot in the arm.

Qadi said his Ministry is acting to attain most advanced technologies and applications to help create an investment-friendly climate.

This is part of efforts to upgrade the economy and achieve desired growth rates, the minister said.

Nasr stressed the importance of cooperation between the ministries of investment and communications to upgrade technology so as to make business measures easier and reduce bureaucracy.

The project shows that the government is serious about taking executive measures to make it easier for investors and citizens to get suitable services through the use of information technology.
