CAIRO - 9 September 2017: Five sanitation and drinking water projects will be inaugurated soon in Greater Cairo and Alexandria, with a total cost of LE 747 million, Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly said in a statement on Saturday.
These projects will serve around 1.6 million people, he said, adding that another 39 projects will be completed by June 30 2018. These include 29 sanitation projects, worth LE 3 billion, that will serve about three million people.
In addition to 10 projects for drinking water that will cost LE 900 million and serve 1.5 million people, Madbouly said.
As for the projects that will launch soon, President of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Greater Cairo and Alexandria, Hassan al-Far, said that two projects will be inaugurated in Giza, including the expansion of Al-Saf and Al-Ayat water stations.
In Cairo, two projects will soon be launched, including sanitation and water projects.
