CAIRO- 5 September 2017: In the first day of banking transactions after Eid holidays, the U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly fell against the Egyptian pound in Tuesday’s morning banking transactions.
The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar recorded LE 17.60 for buying and LE 17.70 for selling, compared to LE 17.62 for buying and LE 17.72 for selling last Wednesday.
The euro exchange rate inched down to LE 20.96 for buying and LE 21.09 for selling, compared to LE 21.20 for buying and LE 21.72 for selling.
The GBP (British Pound) went up to LE 22.68 for buying and LE 22.82 for selling, compared to LE 22.83 for buying and LE 22.96 for selling in the latest banking transactions.
As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.695 for buying and LE 4.722 for selling, according to the CBE.
The Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.38 for buying and LE 58.77 for selling and the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.79 for selling and LE 4.821 for buying.
