CAIRO – 31 August 2017: Egypt’s agriculture development program has approved 148 loans to support the agriculture development programs and activities at a total value of LE 173.241 million, benefiting 454 small farmers and breeders, Agriculture Minister Abdel-Moneim el-Banna said.
Moreover, four additional loans at a value of LE 30 million were approved as a part of the development program of the agriculture sector, in addition to five loans worth LE 32 million to support the financial and investment sectors in the Egyptian countryside.
Around 53 loans were also signed off at a total value of LE 23.915 million to boost the marketing potentials of small farmers and for the agriculture marketing programs in different governorates.
The minister said that the program board agreed on 47 other loans worth LE 81.772 million to support the small- and medium-sized agriculture enterprises, in addition to eight loans of LE 1.800 million to support the integrated veterinary services.
