CAIRO – 21 August 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate slightly went down in Tuesday’s morning banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar inched down to register LE 17.70 for buying and LE 17.80 for selling, compared to LE 17.712 for buying and LE 17.812 for selling Monday.

The euro exchange rate hiked to stand at LE 20.86 for buying and LE 20.98 for selling, up from LE 20.82 for buying and LE 20.95 for selling in Monday transactions.

Meanwhile, the GBP (British Pound) bounced back to LE 22.83 for buying and LE 22.96 for selling, compared to LE 22.79 for buying and LE 22.94 for selling in the prior day.

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.723 for buying and LE 4.748 for selling, according to the CBE.

The Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.60 for buying and LE 59.05 for selling and the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.82 for selling and LE 4.847 for buying.
