Nasr, UNFPA head discuss coop. plan over next 5 years

CAIRO – 11 August 2017: Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr on Friday discussed with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative in Egypt Aleksandar Bodiroza cooperation in the next five years, especially in the field of tackling population growth.

Nasr pointed out to the importance of coordination between the UNFPA and other UN agencies in backing Egypt's development agenda.

Bodiroza highlighted the fund's intention to offer assistance to Egypt in acquiring the population data required in outlining policies aimed at fighting poverty.

He stressed the UN's full support for Egypt's development goals, particularly its national population strategy.
