U.S. dollar exchange rate steady Wednesday

CAIRO – 9 August 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate remained stable in Wednesday’s morning banking transactions.

The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar is LE 17.736 for buying and LE 17.83 for selling.

The euro exchange rate slightly picked up to register LE 20.94 for buying and LE 21.06, slightly up from LE 20.90 for buying and LE 21.03 for selling in the prior day.

Meanwhile, the GBP (British Pound) inched up to LE 23.07 for buying and LE 23.21 for selling, compared to LE 23.11 for buying and LE 23.24 Tuesday.

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal stabilized at LE 4.729 for buying and LE 4.756 for selling, according to the CBE.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti dinar recorded LE 58.69 for buying and LE 59.16 for selling and the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.829 for selling and LE 4.856 for buying.
