EGX ends on positive note, benchmark adds 0.7%

CAIRO – 2 August 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices ended Wednesday in green color, with market capital jumping LE 3 billion ($168 miilion).

The benchmark index EGX 30 inched up 0.7 percent to close at 13,405 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 rose 0.91 percent to end at 710.59 points and the broader index EGX100 also went up 0.69 percent to hit the level of 1,603 points at close.

Market capitalization significantly hiked from LE 705.6 billion to LE 708.848 billion, making an increase of more than LE 3 billion.

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with a total of LE 464.177 million and LE 51.837 million, respectively, while foreign traders sold LE 111 million.
