CAIRO – 30 July 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ranked first among the world’s emerging and advanced markets regarding institutional performance by Morgan Stanley Price Index (MSCI), after its main index (EGX30) leapt 200 percent in four years.

Addressing a press conference on the stock market’s performance from 2013 to 2017 on Sunday, Mohamed Omran, EGX Chairman, added that EGX30 recorded its highest level in history by breaking the level of 1,300 points in 2017.

The market’s traded volume has surged four times in the four years to reach an average of LE 1.5 billion, compared to an average of LE 300 million before 2013, Omran added.
