CAIRO – 11 February 2025: Egypt’s total clothing exports reached approximately $2.526 billion between January and November of the past year, marking an increase of $352.55 million compared to $2.174 billion during the same period in 2023, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Clothing remains one of Egypt’s most significant finished goods exports, contributing to the broader growth of the sector. Total finished goods exports reached approximately $21.495 billion in the first 11 months of 2024, compared to $19.778 billion in 2023, reflecting an increase of $1.717 billion.
By October 2024, ready-made garment exports amounted to $2.292 billion, up from $1.95 billion in the same period of 2023, showing a growth of $342.128 million.
Additionally, CAPMAS reported that Egypt’s trade deficit rose slightly to $3.71 billion in 2024, compared to $3.69 billion in November 2023, representing a 0.5 percent increase. However, overall exports grew by 6.3 percent, reaching $3.56 billion in November 2024, compared to $3.35 billion in the same month of the previous year.
