2 new agreements boost collaboration bet. Egypt, Saudi Arabia in petroleum sector

CAIRO – 14 January 2025: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, oversaw the signing of two strategic framework agreements between the Al-Qahtani Group and leading Egyptian petroleum companies, including Petrojet, Enppi, and Tanmia Petroleum.

These agreements aim to create a strategic alliance, fostering commercial cooperation by leveraging the expertise of all parties involved.

The collaboration will focus on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects across vital sectors such as oil, gas, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and industrial development in the Middle East and Africa.

The first agreement was signed by Mostafa Amer, Chairman of Tanmia Petroleum, and Abdel Hadi Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of Pipe Well Services Company (PWS).

The second agreement was signed by Waleed Lotfy, Chairman of Enppi, and Abdel Hadi Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of PWS.

This signing took place during Minister Badawi’s participation in the IKTVA Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia.

On the sidelines of the event, the minister met with Sheikh Tariq Al-Qahtani, Chairman of the Abdul Hadi Al-Qahtani Group.

The meeting is part of ongoing discussions over the past months, emphasizing the potential for collaboration in Egypt’s rapidly developing mining sector.

Discussions also highlighted opportunities to strengthen partnerships with Egyptian energy companies, boost investment prospects, and open new markets across Africa.
