Egypt's annual core inflation records 23.7% in November: CBE

CAIRO - 10 December 2024: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate recorded 23.7 percent in November 2024, compared to 24.4 percent in October 2024, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).
 
According to this data, the annual core inflation rate continued its downward trend for the third consecutive month.
 
The CBE revealed that the monthly core Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Egypt recorded  0.4 percent in November 2024, down from one percent in November 2023 and 1.3 percent in October 2024.
 
Core inflation discounts or strips out certain categories that are considered more volatile.
 
According to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egypt's annual headline inflation decreased in November for the first time in three months to 25 percent, down from 26.3 percent in October.
 
Egypt’s monthly urban headline inflation stood at 0.5 percent in November 2024, compared to 1.3 in November 2023 and 1.1 percent in October 2024,
