EGX trading sees all green, except Shariah-compliant index, to close with LE 2.223trn market cap.

Cairo – December 2, 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) recorded a mixed performance on Monday’s trading session, with a market capitalization was recorded at LE 2.2364 trillion.

Benchmark index EGX 30 inched upwards by 0.09 percent to end the session with 30,525.32 points.

EGX 70 was up by 0.27 percent to reach 8,416.83 points, followed by EGX 100 with a climb of 0.19 percent to close the session with 11,568.98 points.

The Shariah index was the lone index with a decline, slipping 0.44 percent to 3,158.97 points.

Monday trading saw 1.261 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 4.576 billion.

Trading on securities reported Egyptian and foreign investors as net buyers with LE 87.94 million and LE 498,297, respectively. Arab traders were net sellers with LE 88.445 million. Egyptian traders controlled majority of the trading action with 86.17 percent of the session’s trades.

The top gains of the session were by Canal Shipping Agencies which jumped by 19.96 percent, Egyptian Transport (EGYTRANS) by 17.49 percent, and AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt by 14.47 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Raya Customer Experience which declined by 5.52 percent, International Agricultural Products by 4.29 percent, and Egyptians For Investment & Urban Development by 4.08 percent.
