ENKA eyes investment in Egypt’s key sectors in talks with Investment Minister

CAIRO - 2 December 2024: ENKA, a Turkish company known for its expertise in energy, infrastructure, and real estate development, is reviewing its investment prospects in Egypt. 
 
This follows a meeting between ENKA’s Chairman, Mohammed Tara, and Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade. Hassan El-Khateeb. 
 
The meeting focused on the promising investment opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, healthcare, airport development, and public-private partnerships.
 
Tara expressed ENKA's interest in expanding its presence in Egypt, highlighting the company’s proven track record in executing large-scale projects across the globe.
 
Minister El-Khateeb underscored the government’s efforts to create an attractive investment climate, citing Egypt's strategic location, robust infrastructure, and large local market as key advantages for foreign investors, particularly from Turkey.
 
The discussions follow a recent visit by Minister El-Khateeb to Istanbul, where he met with leading Turkish firms and invited ENKA to explore potential investment collaborations with the Egyptian government.
