The Egyptian Cabinet has approved a draft resolution granting Balkan Food Industries Company a golden license to establish and operate a new factory dedicated to the production of concentrates, tomato paste, and various vegetables and fruits.
With an investment surpassing LE 850 million, the project aims to promote industrial localization by relying entirely on locally sourced raw materials and production inputs, ensuring that 100 percent of the components are domestically produced.
The new facility will be built on a 76,517.30 m² site at Plot No. 507 in the first industrial zone of New October City, Giza Governorate, and is set to begin operations by March 1, 2026.
A key focus of the project is the transfer and localization of advanced technology to Egypt. The company has imported machinery and equipment from leading global suppliers in the food industry sector.
Additionally, the factory will be managed and operated by an entirely Egyptian workforce, enhancing local expertise and enabling the integration of cutting-edge production technologies.
This move will not only boost workforce skills but also contribute to the adoption of modern industrial methods in Egypt.
