El-Sisi follows up on macroeconomic indicators, banking sector policies with PM, CBE Governor

CAIRO - 25 November 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hassan Abdallah to review key macroeconomic indicators.
 
During the meeting, the President was briefed on positive developments in the banking sector, monetary policy, and the exchange rate, as well as the Central Bank’s efforts to combat inflation. The discussion also centered on the government’s initiatives to increase foreign currency reserves.
 
President El-Sisi directed the Central Bank and the banking system to continue supporting priority sectors, ensuring that production and industry requirements are met, with the aim of driving comprehensive economic growth in Egypt.
 
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly officially opened the third edition of the Annual International Industry Forum and Exhibition, which is being held from November 25 to 27. In his speech, Madbouly reiterated the government's commitment to boosting the industrial sector’s role in attracting investment and achieving sustainable economic development.
 
The Prime Minister highlighted Egypt’s strong support for the forum, emphasizing its importance in addressing challenges facing the industrial sector, proposing solutions, and fostering partnerships with economic and industrial entities from across the Arab world, Africa, and globally.
