President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Borge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum (WEF), to discuss regional challenges and explore avenues for economic collaboration. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and key ministers, including Rania Al-Mashat, Badr Abdelatty, and Hassan El-Khatib.
 
During the discussions, President El-Sisi outlined Egypt’s ambitious development projects in infrastructure, industry, and agriculture, highlighting the abundant opportunities they present for investment. He reaffirmed Egypt’s dedication to fostering sustainable growth and creating a competitive investment climate.
 
Borge Brende commended Egypt’s achievements in economic reform and its efforts to attract international investments. He expressed the WEF’s commitment to showcasing Egypt’s success story to the global community, emphasizing its pivotal role in the region.
 
The conversation also addressed the crises in Gaza and Lebanon, with President El-Sisi emphasizing their negative impact on global stability and the aspirations for development in the region. Both leaders called for an immediate ceasefire and the launch of a political process to establish an independent Palestinian state, viewing it as essential for achieving lasting peace and stability.
 
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the importance of bolstering foreign investment in Egypt’s priority sectors, such as renewable energy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and transportation, to further economic development and strengthen international partnerships.
