Dr. Abdel Ghaffar Announces 114 Million Services Delivered by the Presidential Initiative “Bedaya – A New Beginning for Human Development” Since Its Launch

Over the past four days alone, the initiative delivered 7,305,042 services across various sectors. Youth and sports activities saw 307,467 participants benefiting from 3,472 events. Awareness campaigns highlighting the importance of a child’s first 1,000 days reached 46,189 citizens through social guides. Social support services, including education grants, marriage assistance, and compensation, benefited 20,198 citizens. Additionally, 577 disability identification cards and integrated services were issued, while 6,545 citizens received rehabilitation services. The initiative distributed “Takaful and Karama” cash support cards to 85,430 beneficiaries and extended training under the Rural Women Training Project to 31,155 women.
 
The initiative delivered 2.3 tons of meat to 2,339 families and organized 50 comprehensive development convoys, which supported 24,572 citizens. Meanwhile, awareness sessions and life skills development activities reached 13,088 children.
 
Door-to-door campaigns on the dangers of addiction engaged 10,024 young people. Healthcare services, including treatment, preventive care, family planning, home visits, pregnancy follow-ups, and child growth monitoring, reached 5,354,719 citizens through 58 medical convoys.
 
Coinciding with World Diabetes Day, Bedaya launched a major service campaign in the first-phase governorates of the Universal Health Insurance system. This included free early detection for schoolchildren, diabetes awareness sessions for teachers and students, glucose monitoring, and distribution of gifts. Parents of children with Type 1 diabetes also received nutritional guidance, while elderly diabetic patients were educated on treatment options and provided with medications through health facilities and home visits.
 
Additionally, “Bedaya” organized 609 cultural events, including lectures, workshops, and theatrical performances, benefiting 44,517 participants. Awareness activities on museum heritage and archaeological sites engaged 1,045 attendees. The initiative financed 1,450 medium, small, and micro projects for youth and low-income families. Financial inclusion seminars conducted by social guides reached 6,000 citizens, and veterinary services supported 151,179 beneficiaries through deworming, vaccination, poultry treatment, public health campaigns, and 90 veterinary and agricultural awareness sessions benefiting 6,977 citizens.
 
Bedaya initiative also conducted training sessions under the national “Mawada” program for 3,501 young individuals preparing for marriage. Additionally, mobile units and evening shifts provided 3,319 services related to document verification and notarization across various governorates. Twenty awareness sessions on the role of the Ministries of Justice and Communications in advancing smart justice reached 1,431 participants.
 
Moreover, the initiative held nine events promoting occupational safety, health, and first aid, as well as sessions on women’s economic empowerment, anti-discrimination in the workplace, collective labor relations, and effective job search strategies. These activities engaged 455 employees from public sector entities. Vocational training sessions, English language courses, and professional development programs benefited 25 participants, while 10 individuals with disabilities were provided with employment opportunities.
 
Lastly, interactive workshops to raise student awareness about water conservation and climate change reached 2,730 students.
