Egypt's Garment Export Council announces 18% increase in exports

CAIRO - 13 November 2024: Chairman of the Ready-Made Garments Export Council Eng. Fadel Marzouk announced that the exports of the ready-made garment sector during the period from January to September of this year achieved 2 billion and 43 million dollars, an increase of 18 percent compared to the same period last year.
 
Marzouk added in press statements Wednesday that with regard to the export markets of the sector, the United States of America ranks first with 871 million dollars, accounting for 43 percent of the total garment exports, followed by the European Union countries with total exports of 482 million dollars, then the Arab countries markets in third place with total exports of 367 million dollars, achieving a growth rate of 21 percent compared to the same period last year.
 
Eng. Fadel Marzouk, Chairman of the Ready-Made Garments Export Council, confirmed that "Destination Africa" ​​aims to emphasize Egypt's pivotal position and its status as a major center in the African continent for supplying all products of the sector from ready-made garments, fibers, yarns, and accessories, pointing out that this strategic industry in Egypt is characterized by a long history and a strong reputation based on the uniqueness of Egyptian cotton with high quality over many years.
