CAIRO - 13 November 2024: Tonno Vahk, CEO of Canadian mining company Aton Resources, announced plans to construct a gold extraction and processing facility in Egypt, according to a statement from Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum.

The plant aims to process gold from the company’s recently discovered commercial deposits at the Hamama and West Rodruin sites.

In a recent meeting with Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, Aton Resources discussed ongoing exploration efforts in its Abu Marawat concession, located in the Eastern Desert’s Arabian-Nubian Shield.

The new plant will feature advanced, environmentally friendly technologies designed to optimize metal recovery, allowing for the extraction of additional metals alongside gold, thus maximizing resource utilization.

Aton Resources affirmed its commitment to Egypt, pledging increased investment and development to transform its mining operations into a world-class project.
