CAIRO – 4 November 2024: In a collaborative effort, the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), part of ITIDA, and Flat6Labs have introduced the Invest IT program to bolster Egypt’s tech startup ecosystem.

This program focuses on preparing ICT startups for seed funding and early investment phases, enhancing their potential to secure capital and expand their business reach.

Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, underscored the government’s dedication to creating a favorable environment for tech entrepreneurs.

He noted that Egypt stands among the top three countries in the Middle East and Africa for tech startup investments.

According to Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, this initiative aligns with ITIDA's mission to support startups at every stage from concept to growth, and eventual expansion into international markets.

Flat6Labs founder and chairman, Hany Al-Sonbaty, added that the Invest IT program not only prepares startups for investment but also provides them with critical resources and a network of connections essential for scaling their operations.
