Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi attended the signing ceremony of the agreement, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Monday.

The agreement is the fruit of a meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Chairman of the Greek Copelouzos Group, during which they agreed to implement several projects, including supplying and promoting natural gas in Eastern Europe.

During his meeting with the Greek group's delegation, Badawi affirmed the depth and strength of Egyptian-Greek relations.

He said that the agreement is an opportunity to expand cooperation in the future, highlighting the potential of exchanging know-how between the two sides in securing energy needs.

The head of the Greek group hailed Egypt's key regional role and the great capabilities it possesses, making it a favorable investment destination for international oil companies.

He added that the Greek group is looking forward to leveraging the potentials of Egypt's petroleum sector, the statement added.
