CAIRO – 8 October 2024: Chairman of Yazaki, Munenori Yamada, emphasized that the company’s electric wiring harness project in Fayoum is designed to export 100 percent of its production to European markets, with expected annual sales reaching €100 million.

This announcement came during a meeting with Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and Japan’s Ambassador to Cairo, Oka Hiroshi, alongside a Yazaki delegation. The meeting focused on the progress of the new factory in Fayoum, which is being built on a 67,000-square-meter area with an investment of €30 million.

The factory has received the golden license,”reflecting the government’s commitment to fast-tracking the project.

Discussions also highlighted the factors that led Yazaki to choose Egypt for this investment, including the availability of skilled labor, competitive wages, government incentives for free zone projects, and Egypt’s trade agreements with numerous global and regional economic blocs.
