Cairo – July 16, 2024: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended its Tuesday session to record a mixed performance by its main indices.
Benchmark index EGX 30 dipped by 0.44 percent down to 27,828.92 points, followed by the exchange’s newest index, the Shariah index, which shrank by 0.76 percent to 2,681.26 points.
EGX 70 was up by 0.84 percent to 6,331.29 points, while EGX 100 dropped by 0.67 percent to end the session with 9,121.02 points.
Tuesday trading saw 752.9 million shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 3.25 billion.
Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.897 trillion.
Trading on securities reported Egyptian investors as net buyers with LE 129.62 million. Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with LE 66.49 million and LE 63.13 million, respectively.
