CAIRO – 04 July 2024: Egypt's Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, outlined key priorities for the new government, with a strong emphasis on attracting foreign investment, improving energy security, and fostering public engagement.
 
The new government's agenda highlights its commitment to economic growth, improved infrastructure, and increased transparency through public engagement.
 
Investment Push:
• The re-establishment of the Ministry of Investment signals a renewed focus on maximizing foreign direct investment.
• Prime Minister Madbouly pledged to work with the National Dialogue Commission to streamline support for businesses.
 
Addressing Power Outages:
• The government allocated nearly $1.2 billion to tackle the ongoing electricity issue.
• Madbouly assured that sufficient fuel shipments have been secured and financed to address power outages.
 
Focus on Industry and Public Dialogue:
• Industrial development, resolving power cuts, and price controls are top priorities.
• Specialized ministerial groups will be formed for tourism, economy, energy, and entrepreneurship sectors.
