CAIRO – 23 July 2017: Minister of Housing and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly announced on Sunday the launching of three water and rural sanitation projects in Giza, Menoufiya, and Minya at a total cost of LE1.55 billion ($86.7 million).
The projects are expected to serve 800,000 citizens. Several expansions were also implemented in water networks in all three governorates including a water treatment plant in Menoufiya, according to a released statement by the State Information Service Center.
Some of the projects were implemented by EGECO and are currently undergoing a trial before being officially used by the community.
