CAIRO – 12 June 2024: The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) released a report Wednesday indicating that the size of trade exchange between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea had hit $26 billion in 2023 where exports and imports recorded $13.6 billion and $12.4 billion, respectively.
The top importers are Saudi Arabia with $2.7 billion; the UAE with $2.2 billion; Libya with $1.8 billion; Sudan with $984.4 million; and, Algeria with $850.3 million.
The top exports were vegetables and fruits at $1.3 billion; home appliance and machinery at $1.1 billion; pearls, precious stones and jewelry at $1 billion; fuel and mineral oils at $753 million; and, plastics at $712 million.
