CAIRO – 11 May 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inspected Saturday a number of industrial and housing projects in the 10th of Ramadan City.

 

The premier, who was accompanied by Industry Minister Ahmed Samir, started his tour with a sanitary fittings factory.

 

Prime Minister said that government continues its efforts to enhance Egyptian industry.

 

Madbouli inspected a factory for Chinese Vivo Communication Technology Co., and a factory for German Bosch appliances. The Prime Minister also inspected the Sanipure factory for sanitary ware. Egypt was importing smartphones for more than  $1.5 billion annually, he said.

 

As for car industry, Madbouli said that Egypt was importing cars for more than $4 billion annually.

 

Regarding the car industry, Madbouli stated that Egypt used to import cars worth more than $4 billion annually. However, the local component currently constitutes more than 75% of the product.
