CAIRO - 29 April 2024: Minister of International Cooperation (MoIC), Rania Al-Mashat, arrived in Kenya as the representative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the International Development Association (IDA) Africa Heads of State Summit.
This summit acts as a platform for discussing the goals of the African continent in collaboration with the IDA, an organization affiliated with the World Bank that is renowned for providing low-interest financing and grants on a global scale.
The primary objective of the IDA is to assist countries in their investment endeavors and promote the well-being of their citizens.
With Africa being a focal point of the IDA's mission to eradicate poverty on a sustainable planet, the continent receives more than 70 percent of the institution's loans and grants, highlighting its significance in the IDA's efforts.
The summit serves as a gathering point for representatives from African governments, civil society, and enthusiastic young individuals eager to voice their ambitions and request increased support and assistance from the IDA.
