US dollar, major currencies stable Saturday

CAIRO – 22 July 2017: The U.S. dollar exchange rate remained stable against the Egyptian pound on Saturday. The exchange rate of the Saudi Riyal, Kuwaiti Dinar, euro and British Pound (GBP) remained stable as well, compared to Thursday’s transactions.
The exchange rate of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for the U.S. dollar is LE 17.83 for buying and LE 17.93 for selling.

At Egypt’s biggest private sector bank Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar recorded LE 17.8 for buying and LE 18 for selling, while the country’s largest state-owned bank, the National Bank of Egypt has the rates of LE 17.82 for buying and LE 17,93 for selling.

Banque Misr offered the dollar at LE 17.80 for buying and LE 17.92 for selling.

As for the euro, it stood at LE 20.48 for buying and LE 20.60 for selling. The GBP went slightly down to LE 23.08 for buying, from LE 23.19, and it kept its rate for buying at LE 23.22

As for the Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal remained stable, recording LE 4.75 for buying and LE 4.78 for selling, according to CBE.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Dinar recorded LE 58.87 for buying and LE 59.24 for selling, while the Emirati Dirham registered LE 4.85 for selling and LE 4.88 for buying.
