CAIRO – 27 March 2024: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended Wednesday the signing of a framework agreement between the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCzone) and Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt to establish a flat glass factory in Ain Sokhna.
The project will be implemented in partnership with French firms that will inject over €160 million. It will stretch on 200,000 square meters and targets to export 50 percent of the production.
The prospective plant will be Saint-Gobain's third as it already runs a glass factory lying on 190,000 square meters, and a mirror factory extending on 10,000 square meters.
