The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) fell into the red during Tuesday trading, breaking a 3-day green streak to close with a market cap. of LE 1.963,6 trillion.
Benchmark index EGX 30 declined by 1.65 percent to 2,758.7 points.
EGX 70 was down by 0.18 percent to 6,497.40 points, with EGX 100 dropping by 0.42 percent to end the session at 9,217.21 points.
Tuesday's trading saw 1.38 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 6.71 billion.
Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net sellers with LE 642.17 million. Foreign and Arab traders were net buyers with LE 568.24 million and LE 73.93 million, respectively.
The top gains of the session were by AJWA for Food Industries company Egypt which soared by 20 percent, Development & Engineering Consultants by 19.99 percent, and Electro Cable Egypt by 15.08 percent.
The largest losses of the session were by Orascom Development Egypt which dropped by 5.48 percent, GB Corp by 5.05 percent, and Ismailia Development and Real Estate Co by 4.98 percent.
