CAIRO – 3 January 2024: The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has entered into two financing contracts totaling LE 160 million with Aman Company.

The first agreement, valued at LE 100 million, will provide funding for micro projects across all governorates.

The second agreement, worth LE 60 million, is specifically designated for women as part of the initiative to support women in microfinance.

These contracts mark the initiation of MSMEDA's plans for 2024, which are in line with Egypt's strategic goal of expanding financial assistance for micro-enterprises.

The agency aims to collaborate with specialized companies in this sector, with a particular focus on supporting women in different regions, including Upper Egypt and border areas, according to a statement by the CEO of MSMEDA, Bassel Rahmy.

In November, as part of Egypt's efforts to promote micro enterprises, MSMEDA also signed a contract with Erada Microfinance, investing LE 100 million to finance micro-projects throughout the country.

Rahmy presented the agency's accomplishments from January to October 2023, during which they provided LE 4.1 billion to finance 128,000 projects across Egypt.
