CAIRO – 26 December 2023: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met today with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat to discuss various ministry's work files.
Talaat stated that the ministry signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) with 30 local and international companies to build youth digital capacities.
He highlighted the ministry’s efforts to advance the sector in Egypt through developing strategies and visions that align with national goals related to empowering the private sector, developing and strengthening human capacities, and promoting international cooperation to exchange expertise.
The minister indicated that the first phase of the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy is almost completed and the second phase is currently being prepared.
Moreover, Talaat referred to the launch of the Digital Egypt Innovation Centers and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in partnership with the Chamber of Information Technology and Communications (CIT) to promote entrepreneurship in Egypt and link it to technology and manufacturing.
Earlier this year, Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced a series of ambitious projects aimed at fostering the growth of the electronics design and manufacturing sector, with a total investment of EGP 643 million.
