Cairo – November 21, 2023: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) was back in the green by the end of Tuesday trading after tumbling yesterday, adding around LE8 billion to the market cap.
Benchmark index EGX 30 inched up by 0.06 percent to end the session at 24,774.04 points.
EGX 70 surged by 1.58 percent to 4,933.66 points, followed by EGX 100 climbing by 1.24 percent to close at 7,244.41 points.
Tuesday trading saw 1.634 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE4.102 billion.
Market capitalization was recorded at LE1.673,7 trillion, an additional LE8 billion compared to Monday’s LE1.666 trillion.
Trading on securities saw Egyptian investors as net sellers with LE130.10 million. Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with LE122.75 million and LE7.34 million, respectively.
The top gains of the session were by Orascom Investment Holding which surged by 20 percent, Arabia Investments Holding by 19.62 percent, and Minapharm Pharmaceuticals by 17.25 percent.
The largest losses of the session were by Egypt Aluminum which dropped by 8.08 percent, Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment by 6.48 percent, and Maridive & Oil Services by 5.98 percent.
