Bourse trading remains in the green as it starts first full week of November trading

Cairo – November 5, 2023:  The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed the start of the week’s trading session with a strong performance, maintaining its upward trend from Thursday.

Benchmark index EGX 30 surged by 2.01 percent to close the session at 23,094.69 points.

EGX 70 saw a significant jump of 2.33 percent to 4,515.47 points, with EGX 100 following with a climb of 2.20 percent at 6,726.34 points.

Sunday trading saw 1.22 billion shares exchanged with a turnover of LE 3.57 billion.

Market capitalization was recorded at LE 1.559 trillion, an additional LE 22 billion compared to last week’s close of LE 1.535 trillion.

Trading on securities saw Egyptian and foreign investors as net buyers with LE 18.9 million and LE 5.62 million, respectively. Arab investors were net sellers with LE 24.6 million.

The top gains of the session were by El Ahli Investment and Development with an uptick of 19.99 percent, The Egyptian Modern Education Systems by 15.61 percent, and El Arabia for Land Reclamation by 13.14 percent.

The largest losses of the session were by Egyptian Gulf Marseilia for Real Estate Investment which dropped by 8.71 percent, Misr Hotels by 5.9 percent, and Rowad Tourism (Al Rowad) by 4.97 percent.
